Board of Directors
Laura Huang (she/her) is a senior at Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston, Texas. She is President of Prime Debate Institute and a lead board member of her school’s debate team. She qualified to the TOC and TFA State both her sophomore and junior year, accumulated 6 career bids so far, co-championed the University of Houston Tournament, and has been invited to 5 Round Robins. She primarily reads policy arguments. In her free time outside debate, Laura loves singing, fueling her shopping addiction, and annoying her dog.
Aditya Shetty (he/him) is a senior at Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas. He is the President of his school’s Speech and Debate team. As a junior, Aditya qualified to the TOC while earning numerous bids and speaker awards during the season at tournaments like the New York City Invitational and Florida Blue Key. He primarily reads arguments related to theory and philosophy. In his free time, Aditya loves going camping, playing video games, and bothering his Goldendoodle, Millie.
Prateek Seela (he/him) is a senior at Lake Highland Prep in Orlando, Florida. He is captain of his school's Lincoln-Douglas debate team. He qualified to the TOC in his freshman, sophomore, and junior years where he cleared his freshman year and junior years, accumulated 17 career bids, championed the Lexington Invitational, Apple Valley Minneapple Tournament, Strake Jesuit Invitational, and more. He specializes in philosophy, theory, and tricks, but occasionally reads both policy and critical arguments. Outside of debate and school, he is extensively involved in political activism, government, and volunteer work. In his free time, he loves to play video games, basketball, and hang out with his friends.
Vikrant Vadathavoor (he/him) is a junior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. He is the captain of his school’s debate team. As a sophomore, he cleared at multiple tournaments including the College Prep tournament, TOC Digital 2, and UC Berkeley. He primarily reads policy arguments, queerpess, and tricks, and his favorite argument is the OLRC counterplan. Outside of debate, Vikrant likes reading, swimming, and playing with his corgi Velvet.
Om Modi (he/him) is a junior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. He is the co-director of tournaments for his school’s Speech and Debate team and used to be the LD team captain. As a sophomore, Om qualified to the TOC while clearing or obtaining speaker awards at numerous tournaments, such as the Nano Nagle Classic and Heart of Texas Invitational. He mainly reads policy arguments, but occasionally reads theory or philosophy. Outside of debate, Om loves watching TV shows, reading, and playing with his dog.
